Work-in-Progress Showing and Discussion
Why do we have to hide parts of ourselves to be accepted? What happens to the parts of ourselves we deem unworthy or unwanted?
Journey of the Black Fox is a work-in-progress dance performance in which Paschal reflects on his transformative journey toward self-acceptance. Following the performance, the audience is invited to participate in a guided movement exercise and engage in a discussion about related themes of identity, acceptance, and what it takes to remove our masks.
This event is supported through Zaccho Dance Theatre's Black Futures Artist-in-Residence Fellowship Program with funding provided by the City of San Francisco’s Dream Keeper Initiative, Office of Economic & Workforce Development, and the San Francisco Arts Commission.
