San Francisco Aerial Arts Festival 2018 Application

The San Francisco Aerial Arts Festival is the Bay Area’s premiere aerial arts event that features internationally recognized aerial artists and exciting new artists breaking into the field. Produced by Zaccho Dance Theatre, this biennial festival brings together spectacle, daring athleticism and poetry to create a dynamic three day performance event.

Our mission is to create a world-class festival devoted to aerial artistry in all it’s shapes & forms. We bring together many of the finest performers and practitioners working today and showcase their artistry as it is rarely seen; side-by-side in a multi-faceted, site-specific celebration presented against the backdrop of a major historic & cultural facility.

Founded in 2014, the festival is located at Fort Mason Center for Arts and Culture in San Francisco’s beautiful Marina District. Against the beautiful backdrop of the San Francisco Bay, aerial artists bring spectacular and innovative performances to local audiences and visitors from around the world.

We are seeking individual artists and companies with finished work to be featured in the San Francisco Aerial Arts Festival’s showcase at the Cowell Theatre on Friday, August 10th and Saturday, August 11th.

Production Support: Professional lighting, technical and rigging support, and production staff.
